The new SSI Dive Control Specialist (DCS) program is ideal for those who want to pass on the fascination of the sport to new divers. They participate in a professional training path, which has proven itself over time, as in there were many good divers who have completed this training before you. The difference is that now there arenew approaches and opportunities and improved materials available. The revised Con Dive Manual in conjunction with the Science of Diving and Dive Guide materials follow a new approach. Namely, to create new programs in forms and with flexibility that never existed before. Through this multiple stage system together with a lot of theory and practical experience the Dive Control Specialists (DCS) of today is better educated and therefore iscapable to preform theory and pool instruction without direct supervision. Additionally, the Dive Control Specialists (DCS),may assist an active SSI Instructor in teaching the training open water and therefore collects additional experience in an active way. This is the ideal preparation to later on participate to an Instructor Training Course (ITC). A certified and activeDive Control Specialists (DCS) can alsobe admitted by the SSI headquarters for theTraining Specialist (TS) and independently certify:
