|
The Numidia is an Italian cargo ship that was transporting the last load of cement and wax. The ship had a length of 120 meters and a width of 13 meters. Neither the cause of the loss nor the exact date nearer is known. Some sources point to the second World War II as a cause of decline, but this is not documented in detail.
The area is rich in life forms, you swim through shoals of cod and bream. The wreck is covered with seaweed, red and orange bryozoans and sponges. The Numidia lies near the Roman Genova at a depth of 30 to 40 meters on the sea floor. Through the impressive length of 120 meters a good underwater navigation is required to return to the up-line to find back.
The location is at the open sea, 15 miles off the western coast of Istria, between Porec and Vrsar. With our high speed dive boat in cca. an hour reachable. Rovinj Istria Croatia Wreck Diving Center Scuba Valdaliso Wreck Numidia
